AIHR — Asian Indians of Hampton Roads

About AIHR

Serving Hampton Roads since the late 1970s.

A regional hub for cultural, social, and civic engagement — bridging the Asian‑Indian community with the broader Hampton Roads region.

Our Story

Since its founding in the late 1970s, AIHR has served the Hampton Roads community as a regional hub for cultural, social, and civic engagement. The organization promotes awareness of the rich heritage of the Indian subcontinent while strengthening the connection between the world's two largest democracies — India and the United States.

AIHR offers bipartisan support to elected officials and candidates at the federal, state, and local levels, fostering dialogue and collaboration across the political spectrum.

AIHR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all contributions are tax‑deductible. Guided by a "pay‑it‑forward" philosophy, we continually seek new ways to uplift and support the Hampton Roads community. Our charitable initiatives run year‑round and reflect AIHR's ongoing commitment to service and community well‑being.
